I finished my B.Sc. in Environmental Sciences with a specialization in ecotoxicology and geochemistry at the University of Ottawa in May 2015.  Presently, I am completing my PhD in Biology with a specialization in chemical and environmental toxicology at the University of Ottawa with Dr. Jules Blais and Dr. Alexandre Poulain.  I am interested in roles of microbes on metal toxicity in contaminated environments, notably the biological and chemical controls on mercury methylation. The main goal of my research is to investigate drivers of mercury methylation in the lakes around the area surrounding Giant Mine in Yellowknife.
